Chapter 14: Better watch out!
July 13, 2010
One day I came home from school and I saw that about 200 meter away from our house someone must have been really rich, because he or she had two Ferrari and one Lamborgini in front of his house. So I decided to take a picture of it next day.
Chapter 13: Let’s have some fun

What do you expect, when you think of a Game center? Some gambling machines, maybe a dartboard or a pool billiard desk. STOP! We’re in Japan! I will try to convey the feeling of a Japanese game center to you.
First of all, imagine a huge building, like the IKEA ones, but with 4 floors. Maybe you can imagine how big that is. And then you walk in. Right at the entrance you can buy a 5 hours ticket or a day ticket, which is probably the best choice, due to the attractions you have in it.
Chapter 12: Tea Time
July 13, 2010
About four years ago I remember a real Asia-Boom coming over Germany. Everyone wanted have furniture in a bamboo look, eat sushi and wear Asian clothes.
Suddenly also green tea appeared in the supermarkets. But what we get as green tea is just citrus ice tea with some more sugar and a bit green tea flavor in it.
Real green tea makes you throw up!!!
Chapter 11: Knocking on Heaven’s Door

During my stay in Japan, I was lucky to have the chance to live in a temple for 3 month. But you probably imagine something completely different, as it actually is.
From the outside it quite looks like a temple, but when you go inside everything looks like a modern apartment. Flat screen televisions in the kitchen and living room, thousands of electronic gadgets and so on. All in all, it has nothing to do with the traditional old life, I would have expected.
Chapter 10 : You’re out!
June 28, 2010
If you read the last post you know what comes now.
Every second week we had like a morning assembly with all classes. This assembly had two reasons. First, the head teacher of the school told us some things about the world and honored students with success in their after school activities.
The second reason is much funnier. When the assembly was over we had to leave the hall through the exit. Of course. But at each exit were two or three teachers, making notes on each student who passed them.
Chapter 9 : Counting Pandas

I don’t know if you have ever heard about it, but the Japanese school is really strange. On the hand it’s really strict, and on the other hand it’s so free.
I will explain what I mean with strict in the next post. Today the “free” side.
The one day I was sitting in class and everything was as usual. The teacher was talking in front of the class and the students were listening. That’s how it works.
Chapter 8 : Go! It’s blue.
June 14, 2010
Usually after school all of my classmates went back home to do their homework and learn fort he next day. But the one day we decided to do something together. So we went shopping in the city. We had a lot fun and were laughing a lot.
So now you can imagine in the city you have to cross a lot of streets. You do that normally, without thinking about it. As we stopped in front of a red light I wanted to make the others laugh by stupidly saying: “Akai desu yo”, which means “It’s red.” in a very simple Japanese. They were laughing.
Chapter 7: blubb…

I actually wanted to continue with funny things about the japanese food, but due to the weather I have no other choice than to write about water, beach and swimming.
As I told you in one of my first chapters, Japanese love water when it comes to taking a bath every day. So I thought they will love the beach as well and ask my parents to go there.
Chapter 6: McBeauty

In the introduction of this blog I said, that I’m going to write about funny and also interesting facts. I guess today’s post is rather interesting. So sorry for not being funny today.
Right now I’m sitting in a McDonalds Restaurant and a girl at the table next to me reminds me of my time in Japan. Let me explain why.
I’m sure all of you have had a date some day. So you all know how much time it takes to prepare for that. Styling your hair concerns you for at least 20 minutes, then 10 minutes choosing clothes and so on… And that’s what I’m saying as a man. I don’t want to imagine what else a woman might do.
But why do we do all that?
